If placed in partial sun or shade, charging of the solar panel by the sun may not be optimized, and you may not be pleased with the amount and time of light emission at night. If you follow this basic rule, maintaining solar landscape lights is incredibly easy!

Follow these maintenance instructions for the life of your outdoor solar lights:

1. Wipe off the top, or solar panel area, with a damp cloth periodically to remove dust and grime. Do not use any harsh cleaning chemicals. Avoid putting pressure on the solar panel.

2. Remove any leaves that fall and block the sun from the solar panel.

3. Replace the Ni-Cd or Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery when your solar lights are no longer providing the brightness or length of lighting hours you desire, every two years or so.

Solar yard lights are fast becoming popular with consumers revealing how very volatile consumer preferences could be. Going green is the concept involved and although sometimes, considered as a fad, going green concepts have taken over the world by a shock making advances in the market.

Note that many solar yard lights are sensitive to changes in environment and gets switched off automatically at dawn and gets switched on in the evening making life very easy for the people using the product.

They use the sun’s light to energize solar cells which store the energy in batteries and in turn produce light during hours of darkness.
