These lights are very bright (two LEDS), very solidly made, will not rust and appear well protected from the elements. They run all night if given a full day’s sun even now in early October. The price is right. The stakes appear to be aluminum, not plastic, the tubing is stainless steel and they use a glass globe. I bought a box of 15 at CostCo and liked them so much I went back and bought another 15 one month later.
However, both boxes have shown a high failure rate (10 of the 30 will no longer charge), with all failures early on and none in the past 3 months. They have a 1 year warrantee. Yesterday I emailed the warranty contact (customerservice@idctexas.com) with details and today was told I would receive replacements within 6 weeks with free shipping (I had saved my receipts). Great service!
I recommend these lights even though their failure rate may still be high. I suspect the manufacturer is still learning how to solder to glass solar cells (a new technology), and that the failure rate will fall with time. I opened one of the 10 failed units and found that the solder tab had come loose from the cell. I expect that the units that were properly soldered will continue to work for quite some time. I would have rated these sets 5/5 except for the failed units.

We bought a set of these Solar lights at Costco and they all worked great as well as looked very nice in the yard. We wanted more but as usual with Costco no longer available. So we found the exact same thing at Amazon and ordered the set. Of the 15 lights in the package 7 did not work. Don’t know why Amazon only has the junk packages but there it is. All the reviews about what a rip off these lights are were true for the ones we bought through Amazon.

PRODUCT IS GREAT FOR THE FIRST YEAR BUT AFTER 2ND YEAR YOU HAVE TO RERPLACE ALL THE BATTERIES WITH RECHARGABLES. AND THATS MONEY!

I read the reviews written by others and took a chance on these lights anyway. They worked great for several months. Now some work all the time, some sporadically, and some not at all. I would not purchase this model again.
Pro: Well constructed, attractive
Con: Inconsistent performance
